You are a person with leadership and mentoring skills who will enjoy working for a growing company that will value your experience.

You are someone that is humble, hungry, and smart. We protect our culture of treating each other with respect. We want people who are eager to try something new and want to grow individually and professionally. In addition to being strong technically, we expect our employees to have good judgment and intuition when dealing with others and to understand the impact of people’s words and actions.

What You Will Do:

You will use your skills and experience to plan and perform in-service structural inspections of bridges, culverts and various highway ancillary structures. You will perform load-rating calculations for simple and complex bridges. You will assist bridge owners with their bridge program and maintenance needs, including design of repairs. You will develop customer proposals and participate in client presentations. You will be in a responsible position to provide input and leadership for other engineers and project managers. You will be a positive contributor to the organization in helping us to offer the best services possible to our clients, and you will help us develop and grow as a company.

You will work out of our Milwaukee, WI office with a primary focus on the Midwest. However, there will be opportunities to support other projects throughout the country.

Qualifications:

As a Bridge Inspection Team Leader/Project Engineer, you will have earned a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college and you will bring at least 5 years of bridge inspection, load rating, and design related experience. You have obtained/in the process of obtaining your Professional Engineers license. Ideally, you meet the NBIS qualifications for a Bridge Inspection Team Leader.

Ideally, you will have experience with AASHTO’s BrM and various DOT bridge inspection data input programs. You will have a working knowledge of drafting programs, whether it be MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Revit. You are proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, etc. You have experience with load rating and design software such AASHTOWare BrR, GTStrudl, BRASS, Mathcad, or similar. You have experience with DOT specific analysis software.

You are comfortable with working at heights, utilizing lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and rope access. You have the ability to walk around bridge and construction sites, around traffic, and on uneven terrain. You are able to travel for out-of-town work up to 25% of your time, which will require consecutive overnight stays. You have the willingness to attend company provided trainings, including SPRAT rope access training, and various bridge inspection and design related courses to bolster your knowledge.

You possess critical thinking and excellent communication skills, and enjoy working collaboratively with coworkers, contractors and clients to achieve a common goal. You are someone who is motivated to succeed and helping those around you to be successful as well.

What We Can Offer You:

Our competitive salary and benefits package includes health, dental, vision, life insurance; 401K/401K Roth with 4% employer match; generous PTO and paid holidays; opportunities for professional growth; tuition reimbursement; and a great company culture with strong values.
